MICONEX2025 Changsha Exhibition Focuses on Low-Carbon Transformation, Endress+Hauser Empowers Industrial Future with Technological Innovation

2025-08-18
From August 13 to 15, the Changsha International Convention and Exhibition Center welcomed the annual event of the instrumentation industry - the 33rd China (International) Measurement and Control Exhibition (MICONEX2025). As one of the largest and most influential exhibitions in the field of measurement control and instrumentation in China, MICONEX2025, with the theme of "Intelligent Connected Industry, Green Creating Future", attracted more than 500 enterprises from over 20 countries and regions around the world to participate in the exhibition, comprehensively demonstrating cutting-edge industry technologies and solutions. Among them, the performance of Endress+Hauser, a leading enterprise in the global process automation field, was particularly eye-catching: the exhibition booth of over 100 square meters built by it at Booth A1061 in Hall E1, through a three-dimensional display mode of "product + scenario + concept", concentrated on presenting innovative achievements in fields such as energy metering, fermentation monitoring, and process parameter control, becoming one of the most concerned booths during the exhibition.

01 Low-Carbon Transformation Becomes Industry Consensus, Endress+Hauser Leads the Direction with Sustainable Strategy

At present, the global industry is facing the dual challenges of "energy efficiency improvement" and "low-carbon development". As the "eyes" and "nerves" of industrial production, the technical level of instrumentation directly determines the refinement, intelligence, and low-carbon level of industrial processes. From the perspective of industry trends, two major demands are promoting the accelerated transformation of the instrumentation field: one is the upgrading of internal enterprise demands. With the enhancement of environmental awareness, enterprises are no longer satisfied with "compliance production", but pursue a production model of "high efficiency, energy conservation, green and low carbon" to reduce operating costs and enhance market competitiveness; the other is the drive of external policies. The long-term goals of the Paris Agreement, the continuous advancement of China's "dual carbon" policies, and the continuous tightening of local environmental protection regulations have defined a clear "green development" roadmap for the instrumentation industry. In addition, emerging demands such as customized solutions, remote operation and maintenance, and predictive maintenance are further reshaping the industry ecology.

Against this background, Endress+Hauser has always integrated "sustainable development" into the core of its corporate strategy. The R&D and design of all its products and solutions revolve around the three goals of "helping customers reduce energy consumption, reduce emissions, and optimize processes". For example, in the field of energy metering, Endress+Hauser's intelligent instruments can realize real-time monitoring and accurate analysis of energy consumption, helping enterprises identify energy waste points; in the field of process parameter control, its automation system can reduce raw material waste and waste emissions by optimizing process parameters. Behind these technological achievements is Endress+Hauser's adherence to the concept of "symbiosis of commercial value and environmental value".

At the exhibition site, the "sustainable development exhibition area" specially created by Endress+Hauser allowed visitors to intuitively feel the company's green practices. In the exhibition area, a green plant wall composed of local drought-tolerant plants, combined with a circularly played video of the company's environmental protection practices, vividly interpreted the connotation of "green industry"; the exhibition boards detailed Endress+Hauser's environmental protection projects around the world - from the construction of a "zero-carbon factory" at the German headquarters, to the water recycling system at Chinese factories, and to the green management system of the supply chain. Each case reflects the company's in-depth practice of sustainable development.

"Sustainable development is not a slogan, but a strategy that requires long-term investment and continuous action." Wang Yiwei, Marketing Director of Endress+Hauser, said in a keynote speech at the exhibition site. According to him, Endress+Hauser has established a sound sustainable development management system since 2014. The sustainable development report released every year covers multiple dimensions such as ecological protection, labor rights, business ethics, and supply chain responsibility, and the content of the report is reviewed by a third-party organization to ensure transparency and credibility. More notably, Endress+Hauser has participated in the global authoritative EcoVadis sustainable development assessment for many consecutive years, and with its outstanding performance in environmental management, labor practices and other fields, it has successfully ranked among the top 5% of "Gold Suppliers" in the world, becoming a model of sustainable development in the industry.

To further strengthen its technical strength in the environmental protection field, Endress+Hauser has also reached an in-depth strategic cooperation with SICK. The two parties will integrate their respective advantages in gas measurement, sensor technology, data analysis and other fields to jointly develop integrated environmental monitoring solutions suitable for multiple industries. Wang Yiwei said that the goal of this cooperation is not only to enrich the product matrix, but also to promote Endress+Hauser's transformation from an "instrument supplier" to a "low-carbon transformation partner", providing customers with full-process services from "data monitoring" to "emission reduction solutions".

02 Scenario-Based Solutions Land, Endress+Hauser Unlocks Full-Process Industrial Pain Points

In addition to conveying the concept of sustainable development, another focus of Endress+Hauser at this exhibition is to allow visitors to intuitively feel how technology solves practical industrial pain points through scenario-based displays. During the exhibition, Endress+Hauser carried out a "technical dry goods live broadcast" in conjunction with During the live broadcast, the technical expert team detailed the technical advantages and application cases of products for typical scenarios in different industries, attracting more than 30,000 industry professionals to watch online. At the exhibition booth, six scenario-based display systems became the focus of visitors' stop-and-experience:

One-Story Integrated Scenario Display System for Full Product Portfolio

This system is a concentrated embodiment of Endress+Hauser's "full-process solution", integrating core equipment such as level measurement, flow measurement, pressure measurement, temperature measurement, liquid analysis, and digital products. Different from traditional displays, this system innovatively adds a "human-computer interaction" function: through an explosion-proof tablet, visitors can view the measurement data and equipment status of each instrument in real time, and generate data analysis reports through the cloud platform. For example, in the simulated chemical production scenario, visitors can intuitively see how the flow meter accurately controls material transportation and how the pressure transmitter monitors pipeline pressure in real time through the system, so as to understand how Endress+Hauser's products realize the refined control of the production process.

LNG Processing Scenario Simulation Display System

In response to the working condition characteristics of "low temperature, high pressure, and high risk" in the LNG industry, Endress+Hauser has launched an exclusive solution. This display system includes core equipment such as mass flowmeters, vortex flowmeters, and gas ultrasonic flowmeters. All these equipment adopt special materials and processes, which can operate stably in a low-temperature environment of -196℃, with a measurement accuracy of ±0.1%. In addition, the system also integrates the Netilion IoT platform and Heartbeat self-verification technology: the Netilion platform can realize remote collection, analysis, and early warning of equipment data, helping enterprises grasp the full-process status of LNG processing in real time; the Heartbeat self-verification technology can automatically verify the accuracy of instruments without manual disassembly and verification, greatly reducing downtime and maintenance costs. Staff on site introduced that this solution has been applied in many domestic LNG receiving stations and transport ship projects, helping customers achieve the precision of LNG metering and the intelligence of operation.

Fermentation Monitoring Scenario Simulation Display System

Focusing on the hygienic requirements of food, biopharmaceutical and other industries, this system takes the beer fermentation process as a prototype, equipped with Endress+Hauser's electromagnetic flowmeters, mass flowmeters, radar level gauges, beer fermentation monitors and other equipment. All equipment adopts a hygienic design with a surface roughness of Ra ≤ 0.8μm, complying with international hygiene standards such as FDA and EHEDG, which can effectively avoid material contamination. Among them, the beer fermentation monitor is the "core highlight" of this system. It adopts non-invasive measurement technology, which can real-time monitor key parameters such as sugar content, alcohol concentration, and yeast activity during the fermentation process without sampling and analysis, which not only ensures the real-time nature of data, but also avoids the risk of fermentation liquid contamination. This system has been widely used in food processing fields such as beer, dairy products, and fruit juice, helping customers improve the stability of product quality.

Tank Farm Metering Display System

The tank farm is the "safety core area" of chemical and petrochemical enterprises. Once problems such as leakage and overpressure occur, it will cause serious safety accidents. Endress+Hauser's tank farm metering display system provides a guarantee for the safe operation of the tank farm through an integrated design of "hardware + software". The system includes hardware equipment such as level gauges, thermometers, and pressure transmitters, which can realize real-time monitoring of the liquid level, temperature, and pressure in the tank; the matched tank farm management software has functions such as data storage, trend analysis, and abnormal early warning. For example, when the liquid level in the tank exceeds the set threshold, the system will immediately trigger an audible and visual alarm and simultaneously push the early warning information to the manager's mobile phone; the software can also generate tank farm inventory reports and metering handover reports, realizing the digitalization and standardization of tank farm management. According to reports, this system has been applied in many large domestic petrochemical enterprises, helping customers reduce the incidence of tank farm safety accidents by more than 40%.

Quantitative Loading and Unloading Vehicle Display System

In the loading and unloading link of the chemical and petrochemical industries, "accurate metering" and "safe operation" are the core needs of enterprises. Endress+Hauser's quantitative loading and unloading vehicle display system includes equipment such as batch controllers, mass flowmeters, and control valves, which can realize automatic control and accurate metering of the loading and unloading process. The "all-in-one card" function of the system is particularly eye-catching: after the driver completes identity authentication through the IC card, the system will automatically retrieve the loading order information and set the loading and unloading volume according to the order requirements; during the loading and unloading process, the mass flowmeter monitors the flow data in real time, and the batch controller automatically controls the opening and closing of the control valve to ensure that the loading and unloading volume error is ≤ 0.1%; after the completion of loading and unloading, the system automatically generates a metering report, realizing the full-process closed-loop management of "order - loading and unloading - metering - traceability". This system not only improves the efficiency of loading and unloading, but also avoids human operation errors and fraud risks, and is deeply favored by chemical enterprises.

Digital Platform Solution

Facing the wave of industrial digital transformation, Endress+Hauser has launched a digital platform solution covering the entire process of "production - management - energy". The platform includes six core modules: the loading business management module can realize online management and scheduling of loading and unloading orders; the loading monitoring management module supports real-time viewing of on-site videos and data of loading and unloading; the metering management module can automatically generate metering reports and data traceability; the smart warehouse area operation management module builds a virtual model of the warehouse area through digital twin technology to realize visual monitoring of the warehouse area status; the energy management module can real-time monitor the enterprise's energy consumption data, analyze the energy consumption structure, and provide data support for energy-saving transformation. The platform supports remote deployment and flexible expansion, and can seamlessly connect with the enterprise's existing ERP and MES systems, helping enterprises realize "data-driven decision-making" and improve operational efficiency and energy conservation and emission reduction effects.
